Stir Crazy Kidz was developed as a program to allow children to experiment with food and flavors, learn how to prepare food with a kidz's taste and skill level in mind.
Good eating habits start young. Our credo is to incorporate fresh, local and seasonal fruits and vegetables into all meals. We keep canned and processed foods to a bare minimum. We do both cooking and baking, and use raw vegetable too.
Chef Judy is an attorney by training, mother and goumet cook by years of practice. She has owned and managed Stir Crazy Kidz since August 2007. She is always amazed when seeing how her students gain confidence and skills while cooking. Kidz Chefs have made strides in reading, math, logic, flexibility, cooperation and creativity to name just a few.
In addition to our classes, we have taught Scouts so they can earn their cooking and baking badges (both Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts), mommy and me preschoolers, summer and winter day camps, after school enirchment at your child's school. We ahve also run a cooking elective at the middle school level. Last winter we ran a session for autistic chidren at their winter camp. Cooking is for all ages, backgrounds and abilities.
